2 New Rollup Updates Available for Data Protection Manager
Microsoft released 2 new Rollup Updates today for the System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM) product. DPM 2010 gets QFE Rollup Package 7, while DPM 2012 gets Update Rollup 3. There is also an update available for the 2012 DPM Management Shell in both 32 and 64-bit versions, which can be downloaded from the same page as the Update Rollup.

The update for DPM 2012 fixes 7 issues that are spelled out here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2756127
The list of fixes included in the DPM 2010 update can be found here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2751231 (At the time of this post the KB article was not live, but I am including it on the assumption that it will return. If I find it has been moved I will update the link accordingly.)
I have installed these in test and production environments with no ill effects. They both installed very quickly and painlessly, although you do need to be sure that there are no active jobs occurring at the time you run the update or they will fail. (The updater is kind enough to warn you about this when beginning the update process, allowing you to cancel the update if needed.)
